Hi,

Has anyone watched Kati Morton's videos on therapy issues and disorders? It is very informative. She is on YouTube. Just curious.

Yes, I've watched quite a few of her videos. I think she is doing a good job discussing those topics in a down-to-earth, engaging way.

Yes I love her videos. She seems so down to earth and likeable. I would love to have her as my therapist.

I watched a bunch of her videos a while back. I was horrified. She seems like a nice woman, but she is dumbing down complex topics, presenting vague ideas and theories as certainty, and herding unsuspecting people into all sorts of sketchy narratives. She also seems to post videos nonstop. Probably is hooked on the attention and adoration. I'm critical of therapists in general, but still, she scares me. No doubt she means well but is maybe naive.

I just checked it out and couldn't get through the first minute of one of them. She seems more like a perky coffee barista who is full of quips from social media memes. There is zero depth there.
Thanks for this!

I've watched some of her videos and there is some basic info there if someone is interested on that level, but to me it seems a bit vague and somehow superficial. I'm sure it helps if one has a vague idea about the topic at all and wants an introductry description. Or to refresh their memory about a specific mental disorder or to just get another perspective. I've watched some of her vids for these reasons/ also because I'm curious about MH vids.
Also her personality seems a bit too "jumpy" and superficial for me, but that's me... I wouldn't like her as my T but there are a lot of people who resonate with her.
Thanks for this!
