My best T went on vacation for two weeks this week. She said to text her to keep her posted as to how I was doing.

My other T is coming back from a month off. I see her Thursday.

So much has happened in a month. Some serious health crises and a major issue with my son. I don't feel like explaining this all to 2nd T. She wants to work on EMDR and childhood issues. I can barely function day to day right now.

I feel overwhelmed with my life and with my therapy. I'm embarrassed about the situation with my son and don't want to tell 2nd T. But I am terrible at keeping stuff quiet.

This post probably sounds disjointed. Any thoughts?

I would suggest going at your pace. Have you tried writing down the things you'd want to mention instead of saying them directly?

It can be pretty destabilizing to dig up past stuff and almost impossible to go there if you aren't feeling okay at the moment. Can you try explaining that to your second T? She might be trying to move ahead because she doesn't know how much you're struggling right now.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
