Well, it's more of a community, really. I was wondering if there was anyone else from here taking it and what you thought of it?
If so, has it helped with your attachment issues? Is it helping you in the real world sense? |

Could you share information about it? I haven't heard of it but would be interested in knowing about it. __________________ "What is denied, cannot be healed." - Brennan Manning "Hope knows that if great trials are avoided, great deeds remain undone and the possibility of growth into greatness of soul is aborted." - Brennan Manning |

I would like to learn more about it. Can you share some details? Especially the community aspect. __________________ [B]'Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.' |

Hi guys! He's an attachment trauma specialist and he's the only person who has ever explained me back to me before. He has many videos up and I have yet to be able to watch all of them, although I soooooo want to!
It's designed for people w/attachment trauma, but overall it does help with regular forms of insecure attachment w/o the trauma part. His youtube channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5w...ALL7AE9OhOEAPw It's an 8 week course, although you can stay on for as long as you want because the program shifts every time. He's writing a book to go along with it. It's $27 a month and he gives free videos, the support is amazing (the people there are so wonderful) and we have homework assignments, videos to watch, "field trips" in the real world and for an hour every week, Alan himself hosts a chat. The chat is from 6-7pm (PST time) and everyone can read it after if they missed it (I rec'd messages about how helpful my posts were when it comes to rumination and obsession, so people do read them). He's replied to every one of my comments and he just gets me, I'm so grateful to have stumbled onto my videos and I love that it supplements my regular therapy. He emails me to make sure I"m getting the most of it, because I'm not- I haven't signed up for all of the courses. But we all read each other's posts and we all comment and offer (supportive) feedback. People from other countries are on there and it's a very safe place. It's a nonjudgmental place, like yesterday we were helping a girl stop driving by her ex-boyfriends place and calling him non-stop because she couldn't accept the relationship was over and was having a tough time with feeling abandoned. So, that's it in a small nutshell. He records videos that do not get uploaded to his youtube channel that is just for the community/membership option. If anyone joins, I'd be interested in how you keep up with everything. Like, should I try and spend an hour a day catching up w/all the videos and the homework and posting or ??? I'm not very organized, lol. |

I joined it, but I am not finding it compelling. It might be I am too busy at work, and don't put enough effort in?

I am not, but I watched some of his videos a while back. He is articulate and knowledgable and a compelling speaker. Reading his community page, sounds like group therapy where he is a father figure, giving out lessons and homework and advice. He seems invested, to an alarming degree, in the concept of attachment injury as a worldview.
God forbid one of these therapists might make some videos or write a book about attachment injury IN THERAPY. Guessing the customer base for that is huge. |
