My new T works through my college so I couldn’t send him a Christmas card but I was thinking about sending him a holiday email to let him know how my exams went and to wish him a merry Christmas. I haven’t seen him in a few weeks now and won’t see him again until the second week of January. I’ve only been seeing him since early October so I’m not sure if it is appropriate or not, and I’m not sure how to word it.

I would just wait and not email him for that.

I think that it wouldn't do any harm, and we've talked about contact outside of sessions and that he would love to be able to say hi when they see clients but obviously aren't allowed to. But I wouldn't want him to miss the email and see it after the holidays and realize he forgot to respond. But in thinking that, I am getting too concerned about his feelings and how that changes my behaviour. It's such a paradox, my thoughts always tend to spiral that way agh
