Now my appointment cancelled due to inclement weather. I want a new therapist. How do i go about switching? I want one I can see. I haved a lot of issues thatim not getting help working through.

Have you called up some other therapists to see if they have appointments. Psych today has some listed by zip code.

I agree with SD. Start making calls to see if you can find someone else that is more available. A month would be too long for me also.

And, if you are phone shy, many allow you to email as well. That's how I scheduled most of my appointments when I was too scared to call

First question you'd need to consider is what kind of insurance do you have? If you are self-pay and can pay full fee you have many more options. If you have private insurance you might want to check with your insurance company to see if they have a provider list that you can call from. If you are medicare/medicaid you will need to find someone who will take those. If you don't have insurance at all and can't afford full fee then you'll want to look for providers who say they have a sliding scale.

You could also call your current therapist's office, tell them your problem of never getting to see your therapist, and maybe they could recommend someone who has more time.
