Why is it hard to forget about therapist after an
eruption of ending therapy after 18 months of therapy? |

Your question brings to mind this quote from the book the little prince: "It's the time you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important."
Your ex therapist wasn't just a stranger but rather someone who you trusted and saw a side of you many others won't. The therapeutic relationship is an odd and special thing. The ending was unexpected and needs to be grieved over. Sadly it's not something that can be rushed.I don't think you will forget this therapist but eventually it won't hurt you as much. |

I love The Little Prince. Therapists need to heed the other part of that: You are responsible forever for what you have tamed.
