T tried real hard but does stumble on his words and say ummm a lot. I am satisfied with someone just listening to me. I know he can fix me with his CBT and mindfulness which is all he has on his tool belt. I just need him to compassionate and show he cares I exist.

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors.

Yeah, a part of why I go to therapy is for listening, space to hear myself think, and a time to simply unload in a confidential space.

My job has been super stressful lately and I have also waded out into the dating world, which is hard for me given my background of trauma. I sometimes just need someone to shore me up. I used to have big problems admitting that, but now, I just think, of course. So. Of course.

My session was a nightmare. I did a thread on it. Thankfully he is allowing me to come on Friday as well to hopefully repair things... otherwise it wil be to say goodbye
