Have you ever seen a T or know of T using humor extensively in their counseling practice?
What do you think of this concept? They do exist.......T goes by name of Dr. Happy

Yes, humor is certainly needed after what we have all been through. My T often ends the session with a little humor so that I can face the world again, otherwise I'd just be a heap on the floor as I walk out the door. ![]()

My T is so funny. We laugh often.
Her office is right next store to another person's office (who is not a T) and she asks them every once in a while if they can ever hear anything going on in there, to ensure confidentiality. They say, "Only thing we can ever hear is when you guys are laughing - you sure laugh a lot, I didn't know therapy could be so funny..." |

One of my professors specializes in the concept of the use of humor within therapy.
My T and I laugh a lot. We make each other laugh. I like that we both have similar sense of humor-- somewhat dry; sarcastic. We definitely "play" back and forth a lot. I like that. |
