if i could live in a hoodie and comfy pants, i would. when it is too hot for the hoodie/pants combo, it is t-shirts and comfy shorts. i am simple that way.

I mentioned above it didn't much matter and that it was probably better to go as you usually are. In my case this is either something sporty or something rather like the granola eating tree lover I am.

I try to wear my nicer clothes, but that's no different than when I go out anywhere else. It's always long-sleeved shirts (even in summer) because I'm self-conscious about how skinny I am and how my arms look like twigs.

There was a session where I was dressed up slightly more than usual, and during that appointment I noticed my therapist treated me a little differently. I didn't like that so I've made sure not to go 'done up' to that degree again.

Jeans, T-shirt. But I wear that 365 days a week.

Whatever fits my liking and the weather that day, except if I had to go to professional event after therapy that required specific dress code. I love moderately edgy styles but care to be clean, age-appropriate and look together in general, whatever I am wearing. I don't think that my clothing for therapy reflected much my occasional negative/low motivation internal states as I still pushed myself to make an effort in the same way I would do for a work meeting.

Either work clothes if I'm going straight from work or something casual if I'm going from home, although I dress casually most of the time anyway!

Usually a T-shirt and jeans. Sometimes dresses, when it's too warm. I tend to dress up a little sometimes, I guess....

I wear a lot of fleeces. Simple fleece and vest is my usual go to, and black trousers. I try to make sure I wear fleeces with pockets, so that I can carry my pebble with me.

I often wear a tunic (which sometimes might look like a dress because I am so short) and either jeans or sometimes leggings, and boots. I more often than not wear things that are solid black or a pattern with black in it. I get to wear jeans to work on the days I go to session--at least for the time being.

I see my T in the middle of the work day over a long lunch, so I just wear my work clothes to her office. That translates to jeans, polo and closed-toe shoes, generally. Sometimes a plain coloured t-shirt instead of the polo (my office is pretty casual). It's always warm in her office so I do make sure to wear short sleeves.

I ordered my medical records once. My pdoc wrote about my appearance and demeanor, eye contact, etc. Ever since I saw that, I have felt weird about my appearance, knowing that they are analyzing you.

I assume the T is doing the same thing.

I wear black slacks and try not to look disheveled in any way, even if I feel terrible.
Thanks for this!

I go straight from work and I dress pretty casual for work. I'm a graphic designer and my style is pretty creative I guess. I usually wear a fun patterned dress and Docs. Some times I wear jeans and a blouse or a skirt and blouse but I prefer dresses. I often dress quite colourfully.
Thanks for this!

I know they note my general appearance, and I usually come from work or have work after session. As it's an office job in IT, I just wear my button down business shirts and dress pants with flats or dress shoes.

T always comments when I wear a dress. I think that she thinks because I am a lesbian I shouldn’t be wearing one. She always notices when I get my hair cut. In fact she notices everything about my appearance. I don’t like it!!

I wear hoodies and jeans. Sometimes I dress to impress. I want to wear this beauty and the beast shirt sometime to therapy, but it’s sort of low cut and form fitting. I mean, it fits fine. I don’t want my therapist to think I’m being promiscuous or something. Do you think it’s ok to wear the shirt?

I have no idea why but I always dress up just a bit. Not fancy -- I just wear my cute clothes, rather than a t-shirt and leggings, and I put a little bit more effort in my makeup. Maybe I do it because dressing nice and spending time on my makeup makes me feel good about myself. Maybe I do it because I want T to think better of me? I don't really know.

Do you think a suit would be too much??

How about my birthday suit?
