My psychologist i been seeing for like 5 weeks has to leave , She was only there for 6 months at the clinic : ( It takes me forever to trust and get used to someone. I hope my new one is good and i trust him. My last one was a lady though and i find it easier to talk to females. I hope it goes good cus i was making progress than she told me and i felt really sad but tried my best to hide it.

I’m sorry to hear this

I’m wondering why you felt you had to, or should try to hide your sadness

(Feel free to ignore my “nosey” question)

I tried to hide my sadness cus i didn't want her to feel bad , and my anxiety is weird like that sometimes but im learning to be more open now and talk more. Because im learning so much i now talk with my parents which is really great. Also gonna buy some books on ebay about anxiety as i really wanna learn as much as i can so i can deal with it better.

I'm really sorry Sasquatch. It's unfortunate to be disrupted like that just when you were getting to know and trust the T.

I hope the replacement will work out well and will not be going anywhere.

Oh no! How sad! It must be so disappointing to lose that and start over, when it's so hard to trust someone new. You were making good progress and felt comfortable with her. I hope you feel proud of how far you've come, how you're working hard to learn about anxiety, and talk with your parents, wow, what a great job! Your psychologist would be proud of you too, and want you to continue to do well.

I relate to what you wrote. I feel terrible for you. Hopefully your next one will stay until retirement IDK your situation I know before my present therapist A woman my previous therapists were residents, ie students. They were practicing for a set amount of time. Its usually very rough when they leave. One case a psychiatrist who she and I didn't hit it off at all I was so happy when she left.

I'm sorry you're losing a psychologist you liked. Sounds like you are making good progress though. I hope you will continue to make progress with the new one.

Sorry to hear about your issue. It sounds like you learned to trust your old T in a matter of weeks, so hopefully you can do that again.
