My T was talking about this part in my research paper in which I had discussed the concept of play in therapy between adults. We were saying how our own use of play in therapy serves as a way to express a lot of the erotic feelings and relieves a lot of the tension that it brings up.
He said to me, "You mentioned play at the very end of last session." I had absolutely no recollection of this. I said, "I don't remember anything about that... apparently you do though." And he said, "Yes. You talked about how play occurs between us and then you put your head all the way down and wouldn't look at me." I love the way he is so perceptive and observant and remembers everything. He continuously proves this to me. It just shows how he truly pays attention to me as a whole-- what I say to him, my body language, my writing, everything. |

And it looks like you pay attention to him :-) Ah, but do you each pay attention to your selves?
I'm glad you have his confirmation and helpful "memory" so you can relax more and not worry about forgetting or missing something important. I like that in a T :-)
