I give up on looking for a new therapist. I feel discouraged with the therapist I’ve been seeing because I don’t know how to directly tell her she talks too much. I feel like that will just make it awkward between us. On top of that, I thought I had met my out-of-network insurance deductible but my Mom informed me today that I haven’t so I’m not going to be getting reimbursed for any of the out-of-network therapists I’ve seen since Ex T left, which is a lot and includes this therapist that I’ve been seeing. I just miss my old T. I know I keep saying that. But part of me just wants to try to hold on for a year or so and then just pray she takes me back.

My T talked too much at first too (and still does occasionally, but catches herself), but somehow eventually picked up on the vibe that she was, and has let more silences happen in our sessions. Maybe your T will catch on?

What do you feel you need or want therapy to help you with?

You don't have to tell her that she talks too much, you can tell her that you need to talk more. "I would like to speak more during the sessions as I have previously found that this helps me process and reflect on my feelings".
