I've seen my pdoc for over 2 years...no meds she has prescribed have helped.........she has put me on tons of OCD meds and even my therapists say I'm not OCD at all........and now just 3 days ago she put me on Abilify...a bipolar, and schizophrenia, neither in which I've been diagnosed with.

Why is it she's so secretive to what my condition is...I'm intidated by her or else I'd ask questions...my mother wants me to swich pdocs but fool asses around...god I can't wait till I'm 18..........

Damn the world.............

Hi Moonkin,

Welcome to the world of crappy pdocs. Yes, I have had one that put me on about 8 different psych meds for bipolar. My current pdoc doesn't completely buy into the bipolar diagnosis. Thank God. I have been on Abilify myself but more for trying to induce sleep. There are many reasons to Rx someone off label for various meds. I have yet to hear anyone having been put on Abilify for OCD!!!

If you are comfortable, feel welcome to send me a PM and we can compare notes. I would love to learn more about this most learned pdoc of yours. Sounds like a winner. hehehe

Be Blessed,
Peacemaker

i'm not going to comment on what she has prescribed.

but you should be aware that psych drugs are used for many things other than their original market. Just because you were prescribed a drug that you research and find out is for X, you may have it for a totally different problem. This especially seems to happen when patients have tried the more common ones unsuccessfully. It sounds like that whatever is going on she is not communicating with you.

if you lose trust in her, maybe try someone else - but don't get angry and stop meds suddenly
