I am so sorry you are going through this...I know it is awful.

The most difficult part of my job is trying to deal with insurance companies. Nothing worse than telling a person in our care that their insurance has decided to stop paying for them to be here.

I know how you feel. I didnt like my insurance options they gave me so I went with a Dr of my choice. Only catch was I have to pay 100% of the bill. I had to leave because I was doing so bad that I thought I'd never feel ok ever. Saw my new dr in December and I'm doing much better than the last 2 years I was at the other place.

I only have to save back $150 every 3 months that I have my meds right. So every month I put $50 back and it doesn't break me. I stopped drinking coffee and I just take my lunch instead of going somewhere on my lunch break. Insurance sucks because they go with the absolute lowest pych group regardless of level if care. The place has a 1.4 star rating out of a 5 star system which is pretty disappointing.

Hang in there I hope you're able to find other options.

Insurance sucks

Can you ask about payment plans? I did that because with insurance, I'd still be paying more every session.

I could but I'm also in grad school, and need to save money. Right now the plan I'm on the sessions are covered 100%.

Student counseling service both sees students for free and has the ability to refer people (and pay for it) for more difficult/long term issues.
