I have a situation with my therapist that I really would like some thoughts and advice on, but I’m too scared to post about it because I feel like in case my therapist reads here, it would be really identifying. Any chance I could direct message somebody the details and get some thoughts? Thank you so much in advance.

Not sure I have any good advice for you. I am sort of a mess myself.

This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors.

You can pm me if you’d like I’ve done the same thing for fear of being identified.
