I'm very sorry but my anxiety is getting worse, my family is driving me nuts and I just can't take it anymore. I am ready to go back to therapy because nothing is working. When I lived in Ottawa, I would go see a wonderful British lady who I could talk my problems through. I have moved due to my job and my insurance has changed (out of network is expensive) and since hubby blew the bank last month I don't know if I can go see her as it was about 100 dollars. I was thinking of seeing a new therapist in my city but I don't know who to pick, there are a lot of choices. I found a few good ones and one that was cheaper but I'm kind of thinking I should just go see the previous one as she knows my issues better and I wouldn't have to start over from the beginning. I am going as like I said my family is driving me nuts. They mean well but I feel my anxiety gets dismissed or is seen as me bring selfish or I'm just being difficult and negative. Yeah like I really make everything for you all harder on purpose. They wonder why I drink.....anyway should I stick with the old one or try a new one? Thanks .

Could you talk to the old one and see if she has any sliding scale and if not perhaps she would have referrals that were based on what she knows of you

I'd be inclined to see the old one, if you can at all afford it, and like stopdog says, maybe she has a sliding scale. Definitely tell her about your situation and see what solutions she can come up with. best wishes to you. HUGS Kit

I would choose the old T, seeing you had such good rapport with her and that is rare.
It would be worth explaining your financial situation and, what with being a former client, she might accommodate. |

I don't know, I guess it depends if you can actually afford to see the old one or not. Might not hurt to check out a few who are in network and see if any of them would work before you commit to going back to the previous woman.
