Calling all pocket riders!
T is back from a tough week out of the office and I am going to be his first client back. We have talked about using a weighted blanket and I have emailed him over the week talking about the desire to try it and my fears around it. I am REALLY hoping we will try it tomorrow... my biggest fear now is that he will make me ask to try it rather than having it out or asking me if I still want to try it. I am praying he will not do that with this. I get that he really wants me to ask for things. In the past and wants/needs have always meant abuse/control/loss... he knows this. In fairness he has spent a great deal of time and effort assuring me that our world will not come to an end if I ask for something AND he always makes sure I know he will say yes before he tries to encourage me to ask. He is NOT trying to be manipulative, believe me this man has tried everything to let me know 1. It is safe to have needs. 2. He will meet them in any ways he can professionally 3. If he can’t meet the need the way asked he will try to find a middle ground 4. If he must say no he will be kind and gentle about it. I just have not been convinced in the least... after 6 months of hugs at the end of session if he doesn’t offer I just leave and then email him about feeling bad about not asking...

Thanks. Things did not go at all as planned, I am exhausted... but it went well... and the ball is rolling to get my son someplace better suited to his current needs.
