Sounds like Gobi Mattar. I'll bet you would like Aaloo Mattar, too--peas and potatoes. And Palak Paneer--a creamy sort of spinach with cubed cheese that's kind of like Farmer's Cheese. |

My boys have a friend staying over. They’re downstairs singing Mr Sandman, figuring out harmonies.
I torn between being utterly charmed and grumpily wishing they would hush. I’m leaning toward charmed. Happier that way. __________________ Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special attention to those who, by accidents of time, or place, or circumstance, are brought into closer connection with you. I think most Indian foods would be GF, wouldn't they? As long as you avoided naan and other breads/crackers? And you went to a real Indian restaurant, not one that might take short cuts using gluten to thicken sauces.

I was always very happy when my person's colleagues from India would invite us over for dinner. It was so good.

Well, now I want Indian food (despite it being 9:30 in the morning--hey, I've been up since before 6, thanks to D). I'm also a fan of Aloo Gobi, sometimes call Aloo Gobi Masala, which is potatoes and cauliflowers. Dal Makhani can be quite good, too--bean/lentil stew.

Ugh... haven’t been on for a while because my son is on break and monopolizing my world. What little is left has been taken up by work because people keep quitting... so I come back and you are all talking Indian food! Now I want Chiken Saag and naan for breakfast...

I almost got the Palak Paneer! Next time. I'm quickly becoming a big fan of India food. The spices/flavors just make me feel so alive.

I am not a huge fan of the potato dishes because I am not a huge fan of potatoes in general. I do love the dals. And chicken tikka masala - regardless of who invented it. It is delicious.

If we're talking curry, then my favourite is Chicken Balti. If I eat chicken tikka masala out, it doesn't have the level of spice that I enjoy.
