I am binge watching a show from the uk called bad lads army. It is fascinating and bizarre how men bond.

I wonder how Ruh Roh is doing. It’s been a really long time since Ruh Roh left and when they did they left in anger.

My latest favorite youtube comedian is joe lycette. He says lads a lot. He also has a show where he responds to email scammers for people. He is just adorable. A lot of sotto voce.

I am so stressed about what to do about the grey cat, whom I have decided is a he not a she, for the hurricane. The mother is allergic to cats, so can't evacuate him there. I also don't know if he has ever lived indoors or used a litter box. My sister has also hurt my feelings by not inviting me to stay with her. I was supposed to visit her this past weekend, but had to cancel due to schoolwork. She seemed relieved. I feel hurt. My sister is my best and only friend. I don't know what I've done wrong.

Do you maybe have a room where the cat could be if you can't figure out the gender? It sounds horrible if he/she had to stay outside and probably die or at least be traumatized because cat parts are hard... and if it's only in one room, cleaning in case of no litter training would probably be okay too...

Managed to make it through an exhausting labor day, when classes were in session but staff and most administrative offices, including HR, had the day off. At least I'm not grading essays like Artley!

The mother will not allow the cat in her house since she is allergic. It's not even an option.

I absolutely will not just leave the cat out and hope for the best. That is why I am stressed. I have to figure something out.

Could you possibly leave the cat in your house with some food/water, even if you're evacuating? As it would still be safer than outside, I'd imagine.

Our cyclone advice if you are evacuated is to leave any pets in the house with enough water for a couple of days as evac centres dont take pets
I see LT has already suggested that

That's how they do it here, too. It isn't all staff; it depends which union they belong to. But even though classes are in session, tons of students don't attend. When they took away the holiday, a lot of faculty used to cancel anyway, but the Univ took a dim view of it. So now many schedule some sort of research activity for the students, while they make themselves visible for awhile and then slip away.

Hi Couchies! I am so excited that we're still on the Spam and Cool Whip couch, even if it's almost ready to be hauled off and replaced.

I started grad school, figured out how to pay for it and switched programs kind of at the last minute. FYI, for all of our professors and teachers, I am actually doing all of the reading. SO MUCH READING! That part hasn't changed since last time I was in grad school.

The kids' dad still hasn't moved out. We haven't even talked about that because I don't want to upset him while we're mediating everything else. So. That's fun. Everything feels stuck, suspended, even with my therapist. I go and say whiny stuff and she says therapist stuff and I pay and go home.

I'm going to try to catch up, a few pages back anyway.

Couch, my car broke today. I managed to get home with no incidents with barely functioning brakes. Sigh. I finally have more than a pittance in savings and the car must have heard about it. I can't wait to get a new one! I don't care that I'll be in debt up to my elbows, I won't have to worry every time I sit in it.

Hopefully you all have a good evening!
