I was seeing a DID specialist. She was helpful and unhelpful. She thought everything was DID but she did know alot about it. I really missed my old T when she was gone on a three month vacation and really have some strong maternal transference issues with her. So I am going to be seeing her again and she is going to work with me on transference and DID. The thing is she doesnt know anything about DID but for some reason I know deep down she will be better at it than the Psychologist I was seeing. At least I hope so.

A lot of research suggests that it is the relationship with the therapist that is the most important factor in therapy, rather than the specific therapy being offered. So it's good that you are going back to a therapist that you perhaps felt more of a connection with.
