True -but choices and all. Also, it is possible that posting on some other forum on psych central might be more conducive to replies. In an area more specific to whatever the concerns cover.

Originally this was a very supportive thread and almost everyone was at acknowledged i dont post important stuff anymore because it largely gets ignored and that is almost unbearable.

I've stopped creating my own threads and mainly just post here on the couch too.

Getting a response does mean a lot.I try to answer as much as I can, but sometimes I only go back 2-3 pages when I've been caught up in something else.

Can you call her to find out how far away she is?

I hope she comes back soon.

I think this is all why it’s right there on the front page. At first I don’t think that was on there and then especially in the beginning of the couch days when we were starting a new couch thread like every other day and people started to feel left out- it was then added. There are times when I’ve felt that way when the couch was monopolized with a particular issue and I couldn’t find the space on here if I needed it.

Summer..come on back when you are ready and tell us how you are doing. I wasn’t here the other night when you posted that you needed help. I was already done reading for the evening. PM me any time.

ETA: I quoted some posters but the quotes didn’t come up in my reply-so if this post doesn’t make sense it’s part of the conversation about posts getting overlooked.

I'm still thinking of Summer and hoping she is okay. Please check in with us Summer...

I'm not doing well. Suffering a flare in my physical health condition and depression to boot. I am feeling so low. I have SAD too and struggle this time of year. Its so grey and wet here.

Lonely..I’m not sure where you are, but if you are in the US..I saw some happy lights on sale at Walmart. Not sure how good they are, but people like them.

We went from summer directly to winter here - the dogs are bonkers and the cats are clingy, heat seeking lumps because I refuse to go directly from a/c to heat without at least a couple of weeks of not using either. I can't remember what weather was like before pets took over my daily forecast and hvac usage.

Our weather is hovering in low 70’s and high to mid 60’s. I’m thankful we are getting a proper fall for a few weeks before winter comes. It just started cooling off recently. We stayed down right hot thru the beginning days of October.

Our temps are hovering between 57 and 62 currently so not that cold (for us) but very wet. September was mild so autumn has set in very quickly and it's taking some time to adjust. My dog hates this weather too.

The temperature tends to vacillate wildly here in the cooler months. It's not at all unusual around here to experience a 30° change in the space of a few days. Gets cooler and then all of a sudden it's hot again. We don't get to freezing temps until December, and then it's only at night and isn't the norm. This past January, the recorded max temperatures ranged from 36° to 76° and the min from 19° to 63°. It's wild.

I have a midterm on Monday and I'm really nervous because it is face to face, one on one. I already struggle with test anxiety and this added interpersonal factor has really got me going. I am really worried I am just going to blank everything and he'll be sitting there staring at me and it will be awful. It's also going to be quite quick - 30 questions in 30 minutes (well, really probably less than 30 minutes since that is the length of the appointment). I am so nervous.

Is it a language course? Otherwise undergrad oral exams are unusual except for a thesis defense.

If it’s oral and there are 30 questions in 30 minutes, the questions have to be pretty simple, though, right? Can you not look at him? Or sort of look in his general direction but not at him? I still get nervous teaching occasionally and that’s what I do to the students.
