I just had one with my psychiatrist, and felt like I had more control over my emotions, maybe less a bit withdrawn. She seemed concerned that the social distancing would just push me further into isolating myself, which it has. She asked me directly if I'd been eating, and I lied which isn't helping myself and has me feeling like I should cancel sessions until everything calms down.
I only just saw a therapist last week, She hasn't moved to video session but I'm not sure I'll continue seeing her if she does since we've only had one session together and I'm not sure I could develop a strong bond with her. And I've already been having trouble feeling vulnerable with anyone besides my last therapist. |

I like video over phone personal. I would rather my session be in person but the va where i live has gone completely telehealth right now. So for me everything is over the phone or video. I think its caused my depression to increase.

Thanks for your response, looks like I've exasperated everyone here much like everyone else in my life. couldn't even get a response from a therapist I used to see previously :/

I don't think you've exasperated anyone. There just happen to be several different threads going at once about video sessions and people probably have said what they had to say about the topic in a different thread. You might check out those other threads to get a feel for what other people are experiencing with video sessions in case they posted it elsewhere.
