I love all veg, except mustard greens. And most fruit. Well I love nearly all fruit, but some doesn't like me would be more accurate. Fresh pineapple, nope--canned is fine. Don't know why. Papaya makes me deathly ill. Melons are ok in small amounts. Adore berries. Love mangoes. Figs and lychees when I can find them, oh yes! And persimmons of all kinds! Pears in winter, otherwise I can't keep them from rotting overnight, either. Bananas when they're not under ripe, not over ripe; yeah, that means @ half are great. Stone fruit, yes! Except I once had a real peach direct from Georgia, and compared to that, the ones I can get here aren't worth buying. I found a new farm stand last week, and I'm going to try their peaches. I keep trying.

I had the absolute oddest dream I have had in a while - it woke me up even. In it, a friend and I went to do something unusual and something specifically designed for an emotional response ( the thing is unusual in almost every way and not something I would ever consider in real life - super woowoo goo) and my friend and the person I hired both said it happened and I couldn't remember anything about it at all. Like there was a space of a couple of hours just missing for me. And then the person hired wrote me and said it had been hard for her because I displayed no emotion but since I could not remember the engagement, I couldn't confirm or deny or explain. Then I woke up.

Sounds like pear ripening is just a metaphor.*
*Would count as an insight from a therapist. |

i hate legal-ese that when i read it, i understand one thing and when h reads it, he understands something completely different. why can't they just say what they mean? We're gonna have to consult with a real estate attorney.

What does that even mean? If true on the insight part - no wonder I never understood the point of therapy or anything those people said as having any relevance or meaning at all.

Also because it is fun to write like that. There are at various times movements to not use legalese - and in some places it does better than other places. __________________ Please NO @ Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. Just like psychobabble and labelling keeps therapists off the streets. Can you imagine a bunch of them in vans down by the river? Who would protect the innocent people down on their luck from them?

The scary thing here is that I wrote “kind of like psychobabble keeps therapists employed” in my ETA but then deleted it out of an abundance of caution.

While we're on the fruit topic, I actually ate a plum today instead of something less healthy, and it was pretty good!

Spinoff of the SNL sketch perhaps? Not that anyone could match Chris Farley in that role. |

Altho a plum really only counts as a third. An italian plum counts as like a tenth! The best are dinosaur eggs - so juicy! |

Well, I'm officially on a leave from work. My therapist is working on the disability paperwork. Who knows how long I'll be out. I don't like this feeling. They've already disabled my work email and I feel cut off. I'm attending one meeting Monday to discuss the status of what I was working on. Hope no one's too disappointed. P is being supportive. He sent me an email this morning saying he was thinking of me and that this is a good thing. I don't know. This feels like a mistake.

Those that subscribe to NYT Games, what is Letter Boxed? Does it add value? The Vertex one doesn't do much for me, but I like the rest of them.

It’s a square with 3 letters a side and you have to make words, but by crossing the square. Fewest words possible is ideal. |

Hugs, NP. It's weird that they would disable your email. I hope the break ends up being helpful. Do you have the option to return when you want? |

I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to utilize this time. I know P is trying to find me a prescriber. He said he'd had some back and forth with one guy and he'll let me know if he'll agree to see me. I kind of wish he had just waited to say something because it's going to feel a little like a rejection a shrink won't even agree to see me. When this was still a hypothetical leave and we were discussing goals for the leave, I told P I would want to tackle the stuff in my house that I've been avoiding since the fire. Now that this is real, I'm feeling overwhelmed by that notion. There's a reason I've been avoiding all this stuff for so long. I'm not sure I can do it. |
