I just got to spend an hour sitting with a disgruntled teen who doesn't want to take an online writing class at the cc. It's literally the only thing he needs to take to satisfy his high school graduation requirements, and that's the class he balks at. He's a natural writer, too, so he's going to do fine.

His brother says he will try to work in a future mention in an encourage-y sort of way that my homeschool English courses are a lot more work because of all of the reading and that WR121 is a piece of cake.

The guy comes tomorrow to install my air con. I hope it is up to the task when all my trees grow up it wont be so bad but there is not a bit of shade in my garden atm. I hope he doent take too long as i hd to lock the dogs this morning for the internet guy to fix things. I dont want to lock them up for too long. Especially infit noisy maybe they can just be outside. The guy this morning wanted them locked up as he was in nd out.

Its a miracle! The little seedling i got in the mail with only two branches and i ripped half its roots off when unpotting it and one of the branches died and dropped off and so stopped worryijng about i just looked at it to see if it was dead and its shooting another branch. Plants are amazing i dont think they are delicate as some nursery people like to make out.

i found out what the mysterious 4 cent deposit was in my checking account. i talked to the bank and they said it was from amazon, so i dove into my amazon stuff and found sure enough, someone in canada apparently downloaded either my poetry book or my fairy tale on kindle unlimited and I got a whole 4 cent royalty from it haha! Relieved that it wasn't the beginnings of a fraud attempt.

I had to come into work today on my day off for a Zoom meeting. However, it is also free lunch day at work so I would have come by for that anyway and I'll be here for cake at 2 o'clock break. I wanted to finish up a few things so I came in a little before the Zoom meeting. I resent having to come into work for the Zoom meeting but I can't decide if it is because it's my day off or because I'm getting more responsibilities because someone else can't figure out how to do their job properly. UGH.

Still no money either from back pay from unemployment. CA unemployment sucks. They are at least three months behind. They took two weeks to catch up. Ha those two weeks are almost over and they are still working on stuff from July.

Yeah because likely they are going to be showing charts and information from our accounting software. I could have *tried* to access it from home but if I am at work I'm sure of accessing it. We don't work from home normally. I didn't want to try to take the meeting from my phone because I wouldn't be able to really see the information that they screen share so I'll do it from my work computer. It does defeat the purpose but either way I'm working when I shouldn't be. I'm "volunteering" my time because I am an hourly worker. This is actually illegal in CA but sometimes you just have to do what is best for the company.

I just got the preliminary results back from the neuropsychologist. They did detect some memory lapses, but not enough to point to an actual condition. He said it looks like the problems are environmental. I'm glad that it looks like my brains okay, I'm sad that it doesn't look like I'll get a clear answer to why I'm having memory problems.

I feel so stupid. What i have been interpreting as my dog spitting out treats because he doesnt like them is actually the treats are a bit big for his little mouth. I have been giving treats away because i thought he didnt like them for years now.

I am coming to realise that i am in the wrong gardening fb groups. They all seem to be control freaks and throw away perfectly good mulching materials and stuff. I think i need to find a permaculture orientated group.

Just got home from a deep session with L. Did a sand tray. Did a bit of crying. Felt uncomfortable and wanted to run out of there but didn't let myself. Meh. On the way home a poem came and I had to pull over and type it into an email and send it to her. And now it's missing from my sent items, so i can't even read it again, and i don't even know if it sent. i felt like it was good, too. Dang it. Stupid phone! oh well. I'll just hope she got it. I am not in the mood for class tonight.

eta duh, i just realized, it's fitting that the poem got lost actually. it was about letting go. i felt a bit of letting go in the sand. a good letting go.
