Welcome to the couch, old and new! A place to hang out - sometimes you get immediate feedback, sometimes you don't.
Shouting, "Cool Whip" tends to bring others out from between the cushions if you're feeling lonely. This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means. It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends. We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience. Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread. Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner and make yourselves comfy. OH, thats not right, it was 369, the goose drank wine! Oh well! |

The hardest thing in my town at the moment, a town whose has a bad attitude towards vege/vegans, is getting the vegetarian products my D eats. Because a lot of supermarket suppliers have run out they have sourced other suppliers and i have discovered better spring rolls. I hope they dont get the other brand back ever
|

People are complaining about the mail being delivered 3 times a week and the delays in the postal service. I remember growing up in my town you had to go the post office to pick up the mail and thatbwas twice a week. I feel like my mother now.

rounded out my PTO day by swimming laps again. I had the pool to myself the entire time and it was luxurious. I remembered my earplugs and sunblock even so no water in my ears and no sunburn!

H is on a kick again. He wants to sell both our cars for a new car
 We only have enough money for 4-6 more months. He did get a job that starts next month at a university, but the pay won't even cover our bills.

So we're in a townhouse community where you take trash and recycling up to the corner on the respective pickup days. There are certain times that you have to wait until. Some people put stuff out there days before, or else stuff that won't be taken by regular trash collection, like the mattresses I saw out there today. Today we got fined $50 by the condo association for "trash removal." H asked them about it. Apparently, a neighbor snapped a photo of H taking cardboard boxes up 2 hours early on recycling day. Which...seriously? Yes, I know we didn't follow the rules, but they were picked up by recycling, the condo association didn't have to deal with it. They reversed the charge (as there was no "trash removal" involved). But just annoying that apparently we have neighbors photographing us for stuff like that. H has lived here for like 15 years, me for 12 or so. We'll be careful of the rules from now on, but...really? This isn't like some fancy community by any sort of stretch either...that's where I expect this sort of stuff to go on. Sigh...
