Info fashion report: black sweater, no cleavage (normal neckline), silver chain with a cross and her wedding ring hanging off it. Sitting (and I am NOT making this up) in front of a roaring fire on (what I hope was) a fake bearskin rug. Again, I am NOT kidding about this.
Anyway. I'll see her in person and I'm going to try EMDR over abandonment issues. We can meet in person without masks because she's had her first vaccine shot already and will have her second by the time we meet and I'm due for my first shot on Thursday. Although, I can't figure out how she already got her first shot. In my state, the first group was medical workers and care facility residents, then my group, the second one, is essential workers like teachers and first responders and anyone over 75. She's not over 75, so is she "essential"? Does she moonlight as a sexy firefighter? Volunteer at a hospital? ETA: also she lost my check. That's the Info I know and love. And I watched her do math in her head. It took a while, but she got it right. |

She was sitting *on* the bearskin rug? Fascinating. Did anything about her husband come up during session? Dr. T was considered qualified in my state's first round as a "healthcare provider." He got an email from...state or county health department? State psychologist licensing board? (I forget) saying he was eligible. So he signed up for an appointment and got his first dose Friday. So she may qualify as healthcare provider. Or she could be considered essential? Every state (and I think, in mine, the individual counties) are doing eligibility a bit differently. |

I know info has a history of this - but I lost at least 5 checks the year when person was sick and died. They totaled over $10,000 (this is not a completely insignificant figure to me so one would think I would have kept better track) - I got them replaced but a couple hadn't even registered with me until the other side (who had to pay me as the court appointed atty) called and asked if they had been cashed.
The md I have chosen to try was also person's primary (I knew I could at least abide to speak with her) and almost 4 years later that has thrown me into grief bath for the last few days. Grief should be more linear. I am sternly telling myself to sfa __________________ Please NO @ Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. Yes, she gave me a rundown on how she’s doing. It sounded standard for all her clients. Summary: it hurts but she’s fine. Fwiw I have found grief to be overall linear but with multiple detours back to the starting point. __________________ The secret to eternal youth is arrested development.—Alice Roosevelt Longworth |

I am impressed with Info - I am too old to sit on the floor and she is older than I am. Sometimes it is hard to get up without some machinations

I ordered a palo santo candle online and wasn't expecting to get it until next week, but it came today! And there's a bonus little piece of palo santo wood included which I wasn't expecting. Gonna have to light it for my bath tonight. smells so good.

I consider that to be a giant waste of vaccine if they are being given to therapists.
Unless they were testing it out on them to see if they became paralyzed by it. I have decided that western medicine practitioners simply torture you with inefficiency, idiocy, and insane red tape, rules, and alarming incompetence when dealing with everyone from the receptionist to the labs to the mds. until you are simply happy to be dead because it means you don't have to deal with them anymore. Rns I won't even go into how little ability I have to deal those people. I may despise them more than I do mds. __________________ Please NO @ Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. Eta - prejudices die hard! Mental health carers have not had parity for SO LONG, that even WE think of them as "less than". Fascinating. Last edited by unaluna; Jan 19, 2021 at 07:52 PM.. |

I have a old dressing table/ vanity/duchess whatever younwant to call it i am trying to sell and no one is interested i have had it on gumtree since before christmas with very negotiable as the price. I justbwant to ge trid of it as its taking up space in the lounge room. It was my daughters given to her by the ex who is convinced its a family heirloom even though it has $350 written in sharpie on the back. This woman came to see it seemed very interested, took photos said she would talk to her husband and daughter and would get back to me in a couple of days but she also said if someone else was interseted i could sell it. Does that mean she really doent want it? Maybe i shouldnt worry about these things but i can never interpret wht people say anyway. Should i contact her after a couple of days?

Sorry for some reason i am panicking about all sorts of stupid stuff. I think it was after the dream of when i was at work and broke a syringe pump when i was lowering a patients bed but in the dream the pump just disintergrated when it hit the floor.

Its only been a few years since mental health care got parity in insurance, thats what im referring to. But we still think of it as less than. But legally, it no longer is. |

I mean, I'm morally uncomfortable about getting the vaccine early. I don't have to be in the classroom this semester, after all, and I have no students in class in one class and a maximum of six in-person in the other. I'm probably safer in the classroom than in the supermarket. So, hospital psychiatrist or social worker, yeah, vaccine. Info...I don't see it. On the other hand, we should be vaccinating people (even therapists) as much as possible. |

@@- yeah they are probably not putting that fine a point on it, WHERE a person usually works. Just what kind of license you have, etc.

I must say as an ex nurse the last time i was hospitalised the way i was treated was shocking. I nearly bled to death and the first thing that it is mentioned at the nurse handover, which was conducted at the nedside and not very confidential at all, was the fact that i was bipolar and then another nurse said why isnt she in the pych unit and then it went down hill from there. Because of my disability i cant walk without something on my feet but was denied having my scuffs on as they were a slip hazard. Inwas trying to explain why i need ed them, theynare definitely not a slip hazard, i was forcibly man handled into a comode chair. I am appalled as i was taught to respect the patient and listen to wht they said. I will never go to my local hospital ever again after that and way i was teated in thenpsych ward and my ex was forgotten about in the psych ward when we were still sort of together. Of course a patient isnt going to get better if you dont give them medication. I had to ask for a list of his meds and they hadnt even been giving him his anti depressants. Honestly they said we cant work out why he still so depressed!
