I'm worried for my Pdoc appointment today. I don't know why I just am.

We have a tree company out here today taking down a couple of our trees that are badly infested with mistletoe. Before our HOA told us about the mistletoe, I didn't even know it was a thing other than a christmas decoration. They are making some noise out there!! They have a chipper thing running which is the loudest part. Then they're gonna be working on a couple of trees in the backyard too. It's a crew of 5 guys. I'm glad h is here to talk to them when they have questions about this or that because I need to focus on work. Except now, I'm on my lunch break. Diabetic cat is not a fan of the noise, and is hiding inside one of the couches. And Penelope is not amused either, she's hiding under the bed. Big cat Stormy is laying in his bed as usual, nothing phases that boy as long as h and I are acting normal, he just figures it is what it is and all is well.

eta: it's actually 7 guys! holy smokes. the trees are/were bigger than I thought! they're still working.

Oooh it was good! Not, like, earth-shattering, but worth watching IMHO.

It's pretty shocking. And yet somehow feels utterly predictable too...

The tree guys are done. Our front and back yards look SO empty right now!! I kind of miss the trees. Even though they were past their prime and way too huge and 2 of them were infested with mistletoe, I still miss them.

When my Dad had the tree cut down in the backyard, I felt that way. I missed it. I hugged it before it was cut down and even my cat Esther looked at us in a wounded sort of way once the tree was removed. But it had to go. The roots were pushing up the sidewalk. I always trip on the sidewalk too so I know it was getting bad.

I watched news this morning but this happened later. I called my parents and they had let me know what was happening. I'm sure I'll see some news tonight.

Possible trigger:
It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I was able to do it on my lunch break. I am fully expecting a negative result but I just want to be sure since two people at work have it.

I thought my coworker was mad at me because we had a disagreement about which payroll service to use and I went to the owner with the coworker on copy with my concerns that were also being echoed by our outside auditor type accounting peeps. She was really short with me and it made me really worried. So I told her not to be mad at me, and then said I didn't want to tell her how to feel so if she was mad it was okay. But not to let it get to her. Then I asked her if she was mad at me and I explained that it is my discomfort and I have to deal with it. And how friends take each other at their word and trust that things will be okay in the end. I told her how I admire her and look up to her and appreciate her (all of which are very true). Then she wrote back and said she was not mad and then I believed her. It was really uncomfortable for awhile when I thought she was mad. But now I feel relieved. Exhausted.

Yeah... the one in our backyard the roots were pushing out the wall and it was eventually going to fall down and then the tree would no longer be supported and it would have fallen too, and was so tall it would have landed on our house. Probably wouldn't have happened quickly, but it would have at some point.

My latest gripe is the lost and found pet fb page i am on just in case any of my pets go missing. People post i lost my dog if you find her phone me and that is it with a pic not details of where the dog is lost its name or anything special about the dog. Its usually dogs cat people seem to go the other way.

oh btw I got over my resentfulness again. I usually do within a day or two. This time I got over it by thinking about planning my trip to hawaii once the pandemic is over.

y'know how my anxiety got so high the other day when the tree guys first came to do the estimate? well - the money guy who did the estimate didn't come to actually do the work today. and i did not have heightened anxiety at all today, even though I was working, and even though I was sad to see my backyard tree going away. I think there's something off with the guy who did the estimate, man. I'm glad he didn't come back.

I just made some delicious trail mix with my dehydrator. I did pineapple, mango, some yogurt drops, and bananas in the dehydrator then mixed it with chipped coconut meat, almonds and walnuts. Then the person I shared with picked out the yogurt drops, gave them to me, and added (I might should put a trigger warning) chocolate chips (yuk).
