Anyone ever like sleep awake? I could tell what time it was last night but I was also dreaming. In a way I felt like I had control over the dream but I don't totally remember it. I'm very tired today.

IDK, I think I might be depressed today. My mood feels rather flat and I'm just tired and out of it. I feel spacey.

I finally called the parole officer about ex's belongings. She said she'd call him and ask how he wants to handle it. I'm feeling icky about even that level of contact with him.

eta: a nice quiet breakfast all to myself, to boot. I'm amazed that h didn't smell the steaks cooking and come out sniffing haha!

The image of your H coming out sniffing makes me think of my guinea pigs. One will often sleep under this blanket pocket thing (they nap off and on during the day). And if I start putting food in the cage, she'll poke her head out, sniffing, like, "Is this worth getting up for?" It's very cute. (She pretty much always gets up.)

I was typing typing typing last night! I was retyping someone's document. They had a goofy header, and sometimes the page number was center bottom, and sometimes bottom right. Then the box of paper i was using was completely recycled, all typed on the other side. And time was running out.

Ugh those kind of dreams are exhausting.

I know I was dreaming about Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury) and helping her solve a murder. I haven't even watched Murder She Wrote in a while but I have been watching a lot of The Closer and Vera. And we kept going back and forth between these two houses and people kept dying and we kept uncovering them but the police were corrupt (in the dream) and we had to hide them from the police and only reveal them to the right people. I remember being like okay we need to go back to the other house now. We have to change his clothes so they won't recognize him. Like being directive in the dream which is why it was like awake dreaming. Normally I am passive in dreams or someone else is directing. It was not conducive to sleep whatsoever.

weird morning at work. sat in 'ready' for a full hour and did not get a single call. then i was told to switch to live chat which i did for a couple of hours, then they threw me back on the phones. i don't know if i'm coming or going today. i thought i'd nap at lunch but i'm strangely not sleepy. Is it Friday yet? I hope i don't have to take calls during my overtime hours this afternoon.

I texted T and told her thanks for my appointment on Saturday. That I felt less crazy after talking to her. She replied with a heart and said I'm glad.

Awe.

I've been watching the Closer lately, too, Kit! I'm doing a rewatch, though I don't think I saw all the episodes originally, particularly not the first couple seasons. Major Crimes, which came after it, is good, too, so I'd recommend that. Though the character of Rusty can get pretty annoying at times.

LT--Yeah I like Major Crimes! It comes on after The Closer on the channel I watch it on but it's like 8 PM and 9 PM and I usually go to sleep at 8 PM so I don't ever get to watch it. We don't have Hulu or Netflicks or any of that except for Prime so I am limited in what I can watch. We still have Cable. But I can't really complain since my Daddy pays the bills. I like Captain Raydor though. I like her character on The Closer even though she drives Brenda batty but I remember I liked her on Major Crimes when I saw that the first time around. And I like all the detectives and lieutenants. I don't remember if Rusty annoyed me or not. It's been too long since I've seen the series.

Yeah ive overwatched The Closer, to where i know them all by heart. I do love her outfits. Major Crimes ive seen maybe once or twice thru.

You know Lt Provenza was on MASH? He had dark curly hair and kind of a low forehead. I think hes much cuter now. His name on MASH was Rizzo i think. He was kinda brash. I think he was a mechanic or something.

I like Rusty from when he was on 2 and a half men, he was Alan's gf's son, you know the woman from melrose place? Tiffany? He was such a nincompoop, doing jackass stunts with Alan's son.

That's great!

Kyra Sedgewick who plays Brenda is going to be on a new comedy starting this week I think. I think it's called "Call your Mother" maybe ABC? I don't know. NBC? One of those. Too late for me though. I think it's going to be on at 9:30 PM. I was disappointed that she didn't have her southern accent though. I was like, oh that was fake?

My coworker gave me a nice compliment. It made me feel good inside. But also I feel like I don't deserve it. Like I am unworthy. Ugh. Probably a self esteem issue.

I bought these teaching pants Friday. They fit perfectly in the store. Now they're a full size too big.

Also I learned my school's newest buzzthing is that they offer an "emotional learning experience." Lots more papers arguing "I feel" instead of "I think"?

Thanks for the needed laugh! I'm sure there's some sort of metaphor...like "just shrink those feelings up!" If only it were that easy....

Well, I had to get the program's psychologist to intervene on my behalf in order to make it happen, but I finally got a date for my gastric bypass surgery...March 8. I'm convinced if I hadn't made a fuss, I wouldn't be having surgery until May.

Yeah who needs critical thinking?

This inspired me to google my 9th grade French teacher, who used to say he didnt care if we learned french, as long as we learned to THINK! OMG he is still alive!!! He used to wear those sheer socks, IIRC. Gorgeous dresser. Always french cuffs. Those were the days. Straight off the set of The Godfather, which hadnt happened yet.
