The thought of killing animals disturbs me tremendously. The thought of hunting wild animals in a time and place when doing so is not necessary horrifies me. It is a sick sport, nothing less. I stand by that.

I will say that cultural/geographical differences certainly play a part in the whole thing.

Bottom line: I would not work with a therapist who hunted animals.
So you personally buy ethically raised meat, not everyone does. For all you know this therapist might be hunting ethically. You feel sad and disturbed buying meat. We don’t know how this therapist feels at all. Why are we assuming she doesn’t feel sad?

I just don’t think we can assume who gets off on what. The only thing I know about this therapist is that she has hunting license. Yet assumptions and guesses were made that: she doesn’t care about animals and people, she possibly hunts endangers species, gets off stalking animals etc etc For all we know she might not even hunt, just got a license.

I don’t see how all these assumptions have any value. Of course no one needs to be seeing therapists who don’t meet the criteria or standard of a client even if it’s just based on assumptions. Sarah has rights to stop seeing her. @BethRags In the past OP had issues with therapists having kids, pets, houses, husbands etc It’s her right to have issue with that. Now it’s having hunting license. It’s ok to dump this therapist

There are plenty of therapists I’d not want to see at all. It’s my right. I just don’t understand assumptions without knowing anything about this person

For me this subject is triggering. I don't come to the forum to be stressed. I respectfully decline the invitation you've extended to debate.

No desire to debate whatsoever. For me assumptions and generalizations about people or about anything are very triggering. It’s historically very dangerous path. I was clearly triggered by things people posted on this thread and am going to exercise self care and not read triggering threads and comments anymore. I am going to take care of myself. Be well.
