Oh good idea! We've Ensure Plus and some other kinds. Also going to look into instant mashed potatoes, msshed bananas, types of small pasta (which I'll deliberately overcook). Suggestions from reddit since I have to eat liquid/soft diet for a week as I had all 4 teeth out.

It's silly but feeling weak from hunger makes me scared and cranky.

Omg, thank you! I'll definitely try the suggestions out!

Also reminding myself yet again that I don't live with my parents anymore and no one will berate me for blending food even if it looks gross.

My local supermarket also sells meal replacement drinks. They have 300-400kcl each + there's also protein shakes if you don;t feel up to cooking.

If you're not too hung up on high calorie liquid food that's good for you...I usually get milkshakes after dental surgery.

Ooh, I'll do that. Just have to get suitable fruits to blend. I'm also looking into Ensure and related stuff.

I so much rather deal with pain than hunger.

I'll check! Local friends suggested pharmacies but no harm checking the supermarket since I'm headed there anyway.

Pharmacies will also usually have them too- our one did and it was this brand:

Complan | Meal Replacement | Chemist Direct

Navajo rabbit...getting a new external hard drive and backing files up to it shouldn't be this hard. It's taken me half an hour to get to the point of the backup actually running.

I've been fending off a panic attack for the last hour.

I haven't had a full-blown panic attack since high school, but I had an appt with T that was supposed to be about this paper he's writing about my case (he wanted me to read it to ensure that I felt my identity was fully protected) but then of course he couldn't stop himself from talking about our recent rupture about boundaries and just ugh.

I'm sorry, chihiro.

I have more to say, but I don't think it would help, so I'll leave it at that. I hope he gets himself together soon, and starts being your therapist, rather than anything else.

Could you cup some cold water/ splash some water onto your face? If you're home maybe an ice pack or a bag of frozen veg on the back of your neck would help? A cold shower might help too. You could try crazy music. :astly I would recommend a hug or a tight self hug. Saw the last one on Grey's.

I know how scary they can be, but this will pass. My friend Ronnie made me call her and she would always tell me to make a cup of hot tea. Is there anyone you can call right now?

Might sound stupid but I listen to this on x1.5 speed.

I also hope you didn't pay for this appointment.

Back at work today. Yesterday the power to the plant and offices were out. Due to some blown breaker. Edison came and fixed it. Found out today that the company is paying us for yesterday even though we couldn't work. I did do some work from home but definitely not 8 hours worth. I went shoe shopping. Got two pairs of sneakers (same shoe one pair navy, one pair black) and my Mom got some Levi's. Then I took a two hour nap. I couldn't really sleep but I did a good job pretending. Since I'm still feeling really fragile and stuff it was good to just chill. I wish the breaker thing wouldn't have happened so soon to when I was just off of work. It would have felt better if it had been at some time when I was needing a break. But since I am feeling fragile, maybe it is good. Today I am transferring all of the stuff I did at home to my computer at work. Putting everything into the accounting software and stuff. Almost done.

Hugs, that sucks... I can definitely see where that would lead to a panic attack. Did he even apologize or admit he was wrong or anything?

He apologized for how he handled it. But he still thinks the topic is relevant.

I did not pay for the appointment when I reviewed his paper about me.

I still feel really bad.

Trying to distract myself by picking out a birthday gift for my BFF. Not sure what to get her but I like browsing to find the perfect thing.

I'm definitely feeling fragile and needy today. I feel like I want to lash out at some of my friends (one mostly in particular) and unfairly accuse them of not caring about me. I say unfairly because I know this friend does care about me, I just can't "feel" it right now and the fragile part of me hurts because I don't feel it. And the fragile part of me doesn't want to hurt. This is a big sign to me that I am not feeling that stable and could use some more support. I'm going to text my support people and see how that goes. On the other hand, it's good that I'm not pushing everything inside and holding it in and hurting myself.

I'm not sure whether you can easily find it, but there's a lot of liquid food 'alternatives' now. One is called Huel, another Soylent, Mana is another one. There's more. Basically it's a complete meal, but in liquid form. It should give you all the nutrients you need. My partner has been eating it on and off for years now, it works well to get calories in.

Have you otherwise terminated with him? And I'm glad he didn't charge you, because the paper is for him, not you.

I hope distracting yourself helps...

Hugs, Kit. I'm sorry you're feeling fragile. It's good that you recognize that you realize that you want to lash out because you're feeling insecure. That's a sign of progress. That you're being self-aware like that. I hope reaching out to friends helps. And feel free to post here as much as you want. Do you see your T Saturday?
