No worries. I had rainbow in my previous username. I actually haven't been posting much, since I removed the app from my phone. The idea of having to reinstall it again pushes me not to use the app so frequently. I'll message when I have it up again.

I'm glad she's looking out for you.

Debating whether to ask T if she has anything available this Saturday. Not that she's terribly helpful. It's just better than nothing. Otherwise I don't see her until the 17th. I'm in so much pain.

If you're considering it, Kit, it's worth asking. With the way you're feeling at the moment, it would be good to have some support in place. HUGS

Thanks @LostOnTheTrail I also messaged a T from Psychology Today to see if we could be a good fit. If he could see me then maybe I will try to see him before I see my T again. At least if he takes my insurance. That's the part I'm not sure about.

Fingers crossed he gets back to you soon, maybe you could copy and paste that same email to another 2-3 T's incase someone could see you sooner or if he didn't reply.

Also will keep my fingers crossed for you, Kit. And I agree on the advice to email a few T's. I used a similar thing to what Lemon described, copied/pasted the same thing to a few.

I'll take and offer a hug, QM.

Did you see the p-doc today? (I know you're in a very different time zone from me, so wasn't sure when the actual appointment was.)

Thanks to Info I now know that ruffled dark green peasant blouses with leopard print exist. Pair with a magenta lace bra strap peeking out for maximum effect. White jeans and silver lame flip flops completed the look.

Anyone who’s done EMDR, how fast does your therapist do the stimulus? Info tried moving her finger and tapping my knees today, but at what seemed way too fast to me. Even her slow was too fast. When No. 2 used the same stimuli, they were slower and that really helped. Like Info is all molto allegro and No. 2 was adagio.

Apparently Info has moved into the "exposed magenta bra strap" stage of grieving.

Wedding ring's back on her finger, though. (It was on a chain around her neck at first.)

By the way, it is very hard to believe a therapist whose husband died 4 months ago when she tells you that you (the client) have had a really rough year.

I would be unable to tolerate a therapist touching me regardless of the frequency of the touch.

I would believe the therapist if one usually believed them saying such things. Just because one person has one sort of rough year, it doesn't mean that someone else's experience has not been rough as well (unless, which I doubt is happening in your case, someone over-reacts to every little thing and swoons, faints, or some such)

I never believe her when she tells me how rough I have things. Because realistically I don't. And I cause a number of my own problems.

They do seem to have a fairly low bar.
