So did they determine you are unable to work at all? I don’t see how it’s being based on economic efficiency if you’ve been on leave for years and you do get some counseling and I assume some type of financial assistance. It doesn’t sound economically efficient. It sounds like more of putting bandaids on the issue by providing basic assistance. Outside of providing something sick leave whatever they are doing is inefficient
Getting better is a relative term. A lot of these things never go away. One just learn how to cope or gets some help in coping better. Have you tried medication? It sounds like years of therapy didn’t show improvement. Sometimes meds could really help What’s your goal? Get into work force? Go on disability? Stay on assistance? If you just seeing useless counselor in order to maintain financial assistance, it sounds like a huge waste of time and your mental energy. Your mental energy could maybe used for something more useful or at least interesting. This whole thing sounds like a waste |

I'm sorry that you are having to deal with this. I was just wondering about this: do you have day treatment programs that are covered by insurance in your area? I was just thinking that that could be an option; you would get a lot of help from therapists, psychiatrists, and other peers in a day/partial hospitalization program.
As far as the case manager goes, you might want to ask her why she changes the subject. You could explain to her how that makes you feel. I would say, "if you are unsure about something, please let me know instead of changing the subject. I feel that I am being dismissed." Call her on it at the time that she does things like that. |
