As many of you know I have tried to find a new T after leaving my old one. For over a year now I have tried around 14 Ts I lost count. I have one more session tomorrow. I told the T it might be our last. She was open to me going once a month and drop in if needed. Maybe I will try that set for a month or two. Just last year I had be seeing my old T twice a week so this just feels weird. My primary care dr convinced me to try TMS. My pdoc is taking me off some meds that were causing health concerns.

So right now my treatment is reduce meds and TMS. I told my primary care doc I didn’t have time to go to TMS every weekday for six weeks. However they are letting me double sessions so I only have to go 3 times a week.

I think part of my reservation about therapy is time related. I am booked with meeting at work. So something had to go. I am also doing biweekly bloodwork done so that takes time. I guess I just feel stretched too thin. Something has to be sacrificed.

If you could only do two which would it be:
Taper off meds
Therapy
TMS

If I could do only 2, I'd do meds and therapy. But that's me...maybe you need TMS more than the other options.

I tried one last time and found a T that looks really promising. The owner who I saw a couple of times said she thinks T would be perfect for me just she might be full. I said I was willing to wait since doing all three things was too much so maybe when TMS is over I will be less stressed from being overbooked.

Meds are a sour subject for some of us. Honestly, Instead of the TMS I would focus on meditation and setting supportive habits like exercise and drinking enough water.

I say those two because meditation helps the nervous system to adjust to a less stressed/anxious state which can be better than meds and TMS. And having enough water in our body helps our body to work better and for the brain to have what it needs for water. When we slow the mind down and give more water to our body and brain, we support ourselves in the long term better than some options.

Therapy can help to have a sounding board for questions related to meditation. There are places online that have meditation classes that are helpful as well. Just like meds, meditation and drinking water needs to be done daily. Which can be hard at the start, adding meditation to already established habit helps the most.
