QM i have a common name and my patient portal often asks me which of ten addresses. Your friend would for sure know if they had a history of stroke. I would bet its a data entry error - wrong person's records.

I agree with the other that your friend would most likely know if she had a history of stroke. And if her liver is failing, then whatever doctor who ordered tests that showed that should have let her know. I think it's more likely that there's some sort of clerical error, like putting another patient's info in, or perhaps (in the case of stroke), someone clicking the wrong button doing data entry in the chart. Does other information in there seem accurate? Like is there some medical issue or procedure she experienced that is NOT in the chart? Or is any personal information wrong? She should definitely contact whichever doctor's office would have entered the information to find out what's going on. |

Well this disposable heat pad from a pharmacy is not helping much.
Something is wrong that I'm having bothersome period pain despite 1000mg paracetamol (Tylenol in USA) and 400 mg ibuprofen (Naproxen/Aleve in USA) every 4 hours...? |

Hugs, that sounds miserable. Would you be able to go get checked out by a doctor? |

I'm not interested in the Olympics generally, but this is absurd. I really want them to include esports, now! Why is bowling not in there? Where is cricket? And golf? I don't follow any of these, but millions of people do! At best, there are fifty thousand people in the world who even know about canoe slaloming. Yeah, when I turned on the canoe slalom, I was like, "What am I watching right now?" I do think things like bowling, golf, and cricket make sense. Baseball had been removed from the Olympics but was brought back this year. Maybe they're just trying things to see what people watch? I mean, curling became a big thing in the Winter Olympics, and honestly, that seems sort of random. Oh, maybe they could add regular shuffleboard? And the tabletop kind they have in bars? Croquet? Cornhole/bean bag toss? Dodgeball? Ultimate Frisbee? (this is when someone tells me one or more of those is already in the Olympics...) |

I’m old enough to remember when tennis was not an Olympic sport. (It had been early on, but was discontinued until the 1980s.)
I googled weirdest Olympic sports and...pistol duelling? Tug of war? Town planning? I think my favorite was solo synchronized swimming. Dodgeball and shuffleboard are apparently trying to become Olympic sports. |

Olympic cornhole got a laugh out of me. Technically there is some skill involved.

Friend I live with says one particular nearby private clinic has a pretty experienced gynaecologist. Heavily considering that although it's quite expensive. Bit shocked I got my period with so much pain etc because I'm on the Depo-Provera shot for like 6 months already with zero periods or pain. |

Kit, I saw your Dear T post. I'd contact Dr. K and see if he has a sooner appointment. Sending hugs...

I'm going round and round in my head about it. I think I need to wait a day or two until I can sort out how I am feeling because right now it's all a mess inside. But then maybe contact him to see if he has a sooner appointment. I did text former T and she texted me back and that was helpful. An email would have been more helpful but as she is former T I have no right to ask. I feel like I need comfort right now and I don't think of Dr. K as comforting. Unfortunately I feel like I have no right to ask for comforting either and that's messing me up. I left my parents a note telling them what happened, sort of. I didn't go into details just I did x, y, z. So when I either call them on my break or see them after work I'm sure there will be a big hullaballou. Not looking forward to it. __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |

Kit, I hope your parents are supportive.
The thing with asking for a sooner appointment is he might not even have anything until, say, next week depending on how booked up his schedule tends to be. So maybe it would help if you just asked if he had something for early next week, for example? Or maybe this Friday (or the weekend, if he sees clients then), to give yourself a bit of time, but also to have something on the books sooner? |

Honestly this is not a criticism, but you are frequently in suicidal crises. I personally think you have needed much more support for a while and not just one session every two weeks. Would you consider going in patient if it helped keep you safe? __________________ |

I didn't take it as a criticism. My case manager/care coordinator told me I have frequent suicidal thoughts too which I hadn't really noticed because you know, I just deal with them. Usually better than I did yesterday. Honestly I thought about going IP last week when I was really suicidal but it is hard to get put IP. The only way I know is to go to the hospital, get an evaluation which they may or may not hospitalize you. Usually they just send me home. But then the Church thing came up and some people told me to go to do that and it did help distract me but when it was done everything came back. I don't know if an earlier appointment with Dr. K will help. I do have an appointment with Kayla the case manager person next week. So that's good. Then I just gotta decide what to do about Dr. K. I'll give it a day and see how I feel. I'm too dissociated to make up my mind right now. I feel like I'm just watching a movie of myself. Thanks for caring Lemoncake. __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |
