I second this. Discussing ways to assert yourself and set boundaries with your parents. And to not let childhood messages dictate how you live now. That last part often comes up in my therapy, including yesterday. It's difficult to get those voices out of your head, and I imagine it's considerably more difficult when you live with them and see them daily.

I also think it's good that you're realizing you're doing too much and taking care of yourself by taking the day off.

Jury duty is over. Whatever the trial was, they settled and didn't even need a jury, so all of us basically sat in a room for several hours. They played a movie for us, so I was able to distract myself from thinking about previous courthouse visits. Thanks for all the hugs. It was helpful.

T appointment went well. We discussed the possibility of doing some inner child work. She also told me that I got some more days approved through my insurance for IOP. I don't know how many or what she's talking about. I'll have to talk to Ray my case manager. But we are going to meet again on Friday. We talked about getting my needs met and how that relates to self harm.

I got off work at 2pm today (work 5a-2p this week in Chat), made a meatloaf, cleaned up the kitchen, went for a walk, and then crocheted until about half hour ago. Finished through round 31 of the mandala afghan, pic is only through round 30 though. It's still a little curled on the edge from 3 rounds in a row of front post double crochet, but it is already flattening out again now. I'm so tickled with how it's looking!!
