I realise I'm resurrecting an old topic here, but wanted to see if there were any newer insights into this type of therapy as the last post about it was nearly a year ago.

I've recently started working with a experiential person-centred therapist who also offers brainspotting to support the work. So I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has done this and how they found it (the good and the bad!)

I just wanted to get away from CBT approaches, which I find rather blaming/shaming, but given that I struggle to name emotions and know where in my body I'm feeling things, I'm not sure how helpful this modality is going to be!

I've heard some good things about experiential person-centered therapy although I have never tried my myself. I hope it will be very helpful to you!
Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
