It's been one tough month and next month does not look good. My therapist has been gone for 3 weeks from the clinic no one is telling me when she is going to be back. I feel so abandon and with the holidays approaching im worried sick. I am not doing very well emotionally. I hope if my therapist is not returning i hope they will provide me a new therapist. It's been to hard to go to day program because I just end up crying.

I'm sorry that you're having a rough time. I think I understand...when I'd been seeing my therapist for a few weeks she suddenly went to the hospital with pneumonia. They kept telling me she'd be back "next week"...dadada..."next week"....It ended up being 2 months until she returned. I know she was extremely ill, no doubt about that. But in her absence I got so stressed. I ended up having a damaging manic episode, and ended up inpatient. The problem is that I never truly bonded with her, not in the way most people do with their therapist. It's been 3 years and while I do feel very close to her, it's not the way I wish it was.

Do you know why your T is away?

I just talked to my day program counsellor she had no answer as to when or if my therapist will be back. Next week is the dead line for all staff to be fully vaccinated and I know my t is not for that due to medical issues.

My therapist is still going to see me it's just a matter of how long im going to be without her support right now. I am struggiling allot. She is thinking of going into private practice and she has offered to still see me.

Ugh, I'm sorry, Cheryl. I hope you hear something soon and won't have to wait too long to meet with your T.
