My friend had me stay at her house most of the day. The numbing is just starting to wear off, so we'll see how the pain goes tomorrow and Sunday. I am guessing those days will be the worst. You should see this ridiculous ice pack thing I've been wearing all day! haha. I feel like the worst is yet to come, so I'm still pretty anxious. It was funny, because my surgeon called to check up on me (which I thought was nice), and then two minutes later, my T did! I'll keep you guys updated. |

Hugs, Velcro, glad it went well and hope you won't be in too much pain. And that's nice that both your surgeon and your T called to check on you!

Gosh, I was in pain immediately after my surgery. And my parent really kicked me when I was down, criticizing me because she said I was grumpy. Which seemed pretty unfair as I was extremely groggy, in pain, and couldn't even say anything to her with the gauze in my mouth. Talk about a failure of empathy.
Anyway, that first day was the worst until I got the facial muscle spasms a couple days later. I went to work as usual the day after my surgery to get away from my mean parent. I did take a percocet after I got to work though. And my face was still swollen and I looked ridiculous in my ice pack thing. __________________ Life is hard. Then you die. Huh. When I had my wisdom teeth out there was no percocet, no ice pack, and no laughing gas, just local anesthesia, “don’t drink through a straw for a couple of hours,” and “eat soft stuff for dinner.”

My only advice is stay ahead of the pain. Take the pain pills on schedule for two or three days.

I had to disclose to T that I like bdsm, bondage, and shibari. She remained very cool and collected, trying to not gaving anything that could be interpreted as a negative gesture. As I was describing a harness that I made to tie myself up, her skin was turning more an more reddish.
Seeing her blushing like that, it made me think that she might like me. Is this too far fetched? |

I love the way snow reflects all light, from houses or the moon, so that it seems more like twilight than midnight.

My dad had his taken out in the hospital under general anesthesia. He's 62. I think you probably just had a callous/cruel/incompetent dentist, especially since you didn't even get laughing gas or ice. I don't think opioids are typically offered for extractions. __________________ Life is hard. Then you die. Then they throw dirt in your face. -David Gerrold |

When it comes to wisdome teeth, everyone is different. If your wisdom teeth are alreaady out, local anestesia is fine. If they don't have space to come out and would mess up your other teeth because they need to move them around, pushing against them to come out, it's best to dig them out, which I think is often done under general anastesia. And if they are hiding below other teeth, well, then it gets ugly.
So I don't think anyone's dentist is incompetent or cruel, you guys just have different teeth __________________ my life explained in two smileys |
