So I had a video session with awesome T today. He is out of town for three months but we have a couple scheduled check-ins. He gave me permission to do the session from his office as long as art T was in the building to let me in. Art T didn't end up being there but, in her eager to please self, she made arrangements for the building to be opened for me.
So... I had a video session with T from his office while he is out of state. I wasn't sure I would be able to go up there by myself but was surprised how comfortable I was. At the end of the session he reminded me to pull the blinds so the furniture doesn't fade (so very him) but then invited me to hand out there for a few minutes after the session if I would like.
WOW did it stir up a lot of stuff to have T trust me in his space! I was much more OK with a video session when I could be in my safe space on his couch. T has also given me permission to use his office for our check in next month too. He had said something about art T and I being able to use it but I don't think I want her in "my" safe space LOL... I know she sees T for supervision up there but I don't want her there when I am there!

Anyway... having the office as a transitional object is kind of cool!

I'm glad your T was comfortable with offering that as an option, Omers. It's great that you will have access to it next month as well.

That's really kind and trusting of your T, Omers. I'm glad it helped to be there.

And it makes sense that you wouldn't want to meet with Art T in there. A few years ago, when Dr. T was away, the backup T I saw used his office for one of the sessions, and it just kind of made me sad.
