The power went off at work today for about an hour. Of course it was at lunchtime, and I hadn't yet heated up my lunch. So I just ate some Top Ramen because I could still get hot water from the water dispenser and made do with slightly crunchy noodles. But now I'm starving. I get off work in about half an hour and I hope we are planning on having dinner early tonight. (First world problems, I know!) Luckily the power came back on and at least it didn't go off in the middle of me reconciling the credit card statement this morning, or when I was doing anything important. So I got to play on my phone for an hour. Lol.

I can tell I am feeling better because today I could not stand the four walls of my room. So I set up outside and spent time reading and working in my garden. I tested negative and will be back to work tomorrow. I'm so grateful for sick time, but I wish I had more. I could use a couple more days to rest.

In real life/Couch crossovers, I was inventorying things in the attic and found my father’s old flute.

It’s an Artley Wilkins model.

H is in surgery right now (hip repair--not replacement, just some repair). His Mom is there with him--we figured it would be much easier if I were the one taking D to and from school, which would have conflicted with the time he had to be at the hospital. I'm not particularly anxious about the surgery itself (though they did decide to put him completely under), but will still feel much better when it's done. If I was actually at the hospital, I'm sure I'd be freaking out more, as I don't do well with hospitals.

Today is the one year anniversary of when I lost my beloved Esther. I love that cat and I miss her everyday.

HUGS LT. I hope H does well and that the recovery time will be short.

Thanks Kit! And it was nice seeing pics of your cats (past and present).

How are you doing?

Speaking of pets, my guinea pigs are having a little squabble right now, squeaking back and forth to each other. Well, the one (also Amelia!) is making more of a honking sound (like a goose) in protest. Wish I knew what they were "saying" to each other.

Awe, thanks.

I'm doing a lot better. Of course, the day that is my appointment with my therapist I am better! Just my luck. I'm just bored at work. Not doing much.

Thank you all for the hugs! It really means a lot to me!

Things are going better. I had telehealth with L yesterday. We talked about me starting smoking again, setting up my "therapy" corner, and making sure to take Ibuprofen and my anxiety meds. I have another session with her tomorrow and then on Friday.

My sister...she really came though for me this time. She spent all of yesterday unpacking and organizing my place. It's like 75% done! I can barely unpack one box and need to take a break due to anxiety and pain. We still have a lot to do, but it's already starting to feel like home. H was really really nice to my sister and paid her the cash we were going to give the movers.

My anxiety has seriously been reduced. I'm feeling much better.

In the presence of the right things. Like the sight of some works of art, or the sound of a particularly beautiful piece of music. But these are few and far between, as befits awe.

I don’t have a sense of awe, alas, in the smell of an ex-hankster fart.
