This is a major theme that has been prevalent in my life for a long time. I feel like every time I am actually starting to get better, such as feeling good about taking a class, I self-sabotage and ruin it. Maybe I am afraid of success.

It’s not unusual and I think it’s normal to feel afraid of progress after we’ve been used for some kind of pattern for a long time. Some fear of the unknown, even though positive, because we don’t know what it will bring and will pull you out of your comfort zone imo. Are you able to explore this attitude with someone that can help you figure what’s behind it?
