After nearly 3 years I am finally headed back into Therapy. It will mostly be done via Skype which I have never done before so it should be an interesting experience for me. All-in-all I am happy about going back to Therapy.
Since many people on here were not around when I first posted on here (from 2013-2015) I will let you know that I previously had lots of issues with boundaries but I think I have made lots of improvement. For example every year (at least prior to COVID) a local radio station sponsored a free outdoor concert in January (which can be pretty cold around here) but to get tickets you needed to either snag one during a download or go to a ticket raid to get them, I would usually get them the latter why. The Therapist who I saw from 2017-2019 went in 2018 with a few people (and even saw me there), the following year I had an extra ticket (since the person who usually goes with me was working) and I really really wanted to give it to my Therapist (who can't drive because of her eye condition) however she told me that she didn't want to take public transportation there which would have required someone else who could drive her to have a ticket (in order to go with her) and I knew that it would cross boundaries for me to take her myself so I didn't give her the ticket. I literally had the ticket in my pocket (and even had my hand on the ticket) to give to her and it pained me so much not to give it to her but I knew that I couldn't drive her myself and going with someone else would have required another ticket so I knew that given the circumstances at hand that I couldn't offer it to her, and I assume she ended up not going, but there was no way I could offer her the ticket based on her preference not to go by herself (likely via public transportation). So all-in-all I think my take on boundaries has improved greatly over the last several years. __________________ COVID-19 Survivor- 4/26/2022 Last edited by RTerroni; May 25, 2022 at 08:04 PM.. |

Welcome back!
That's kind of you, getting her a ticket! Of course it would have been completely inappropriate for her to accept it __________________ my life explained in two smileys |

I also didn't get her a ticket I just had an extra, since you get 2 tickets in a ticket raid. __________________ COVID-19 Survivor- 4/26/2022 |

I really hope it went well. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts if you want to share, specifically re: seeing a male t for the first time ever. I've been thinking that if/when I go back to therapy, about seeing a male t this time. |

It was definitely an interesting experience it was the phone so I can't really say much, once we meet via Skype I will probably get a better handle on thigs. He said that he is about 10 years younger than me so we will see how that goes as well. All-in-all it is really hard to say right now.
