Very recently I have found something very interesting about a few former Therapists of mine on Social Media (in particular Facebook) about connections to people who I personally know. As far as I know none of my former Therapists (at least those who I still check-in with, albeit very infrequently) have any mutual friends with me but with one former Therapist I saw that on at least 2 occasions they were friends with someone who was friends was someone who I personally know. For one Therapist there were 2 known instances (possibly more) where that is the case and the 2 people in question I met at completely different points in my life at completely different times in my life. Also with the first person they were friends with, they were friends with a number of other people who I had common friends with (and knew personally) including the person who I hang out with all the time. With another former Therapist the connections were even more numerous, with at least 6 or 7 people that I was able to connect to through only one person.

None of this should seem surprising since the average connection with anyone on Facebook is only about 3.5 people, and in my case is probably slightly less since I am friends with a number of people who live in all different parts of the world who I have never personally met before (since that would likely drop the average down with me), and since all of my (and presumably most everyone else on here) Therapists lived (at least at one point in time) near me it shouldn't be all that surprising, but still very interesting to me. I mentioned this to my current Therapist at session this past week and she told me that she doesn't use social media at all but I don't know if I believe her or not.

My long term therapist and I had multiple connections. I live in a very community. There are 2 hospitals I work at one she worked at the other. We knew we had a mutual friend/her coworker. WE discussed the friend on multiple occasions. One of my church friends was her neighborly friend. Since i also in the mental health field, we had mutiple connections that way.

WIth my current therapist she lives a good distance away so we do not appear to have direct connections with the exception of my med manager. T use to work at the same clinic and they would hang out as friends. Before med manager worked at the current clinic, she worked at where I do. We were co-worker friends before I stated seeing her for medications. We still have quite a connection and often discuss the people we woeked with together, etc.

Very True, in fact one of my former Therapists now lives over 1000 miles away from me, so presumably she has several friends on social media whom she met after moving there, for those people it would likely take a few more intermediate people to get to someone else I personally know, but I should eventually be able to get to someone, in theory eventually nearly everyone.

My therapist and i are friends on facebook. I am on her business page and then she invited me to friend her on her personal page where she goes under a more secret name so people cant look her up. Have been that way for years. I do not think we have any other connections.

Eventually you probably do, you may just have to go through 1 or 2 more intermediary people. Once I started doing that I could connect to almost anyone who I personally know along with many other facebook friends that I don't personally know and once I got to them the connections are so many that I can basically get to anyone.
