Continuing ed isn't too bad of a violation, as those things go. I had a certification at one point (health education specialist) that I let lapse because I wasn't using it, and I would have had to make up a ridiculous amount of continuing ed. Not sure what it's like for therapists, but some you can do for free, but it's not worth that many credits/hours, and others are really expensive. If she got behind, it could be difficult to make up. |

Yeah, I'm not overly concerned about it. I just thought it was interesting. Particularly as she is random, and this seems like something random that she would do (or not do). From what I could tell, it looks like the social worker (she is an lcsw) has to do 30 hours of continuing education in 2 years. She was a little short and she got audited and it amounted to a fine and a citation. I don't know how frequently they audit though. She did talk about how at one point she was sick. I don't know if this was during that time. So it might have been. In any event, she corrected it, paid the fine within the time frame and doesn't have any other citations. It hadn't occurred to me to look her up sooner, although I have looked up pretty much every T I have had. But since I just got her license number, I decided to look her up on the state website. Just one of those, good to know situations. HUGS Kit __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |

Waiting on T to text me back. (Not on the continuing ed thing.) Sigh.
I was back and forth as to whether or not I should reach out to her but then I thought oh well, I will. And now I kind of regret it because I have to wait for a response. __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |

I told my T that I thought my mental health might be declining right now and I'm not too sure how to put the brakes on and turn things around at the moment. Sigh. I just saw pdoc about 2.5 weeks ago and he upped some medicine so it might be that it just hasn't kicked in yet. Sucks when you don't know what else to do.

I have a GP appointment tomorrow. We'll see if she calls the cops on me again to do a potential 5150 code. Sigh.

Although, maybe I need the hospital right now. I'm not sure. It would probably just be a huge waste of time like usual though. T has already bumped me up to twice a week, plus I have group therapy once a week. Plus pdoc upped the medicine. All this stuff should kick in soon. I hope.

Hugs, Kit. I hope you hear back from your T soon and that she's helpful. Also that you feel better soon. When is your next session with her?

I am going to take a backpack with a couple of changes of clothes with me just in case I have to go from there to the hospital. If not, I will talk to T tonight and hopefully make a plan on what to do. I did give one of my bosses a heads up, just in case. I plan to go to work this morning, get a few things wrapped up just in case, and talk to my immediate boss so he I'd in the loop. I'm usually hospitalized when I don't need it, and am sent home when I do need it. But that is when I go to the ER. My T said we could look at voluntary admission. There's three hospitals I can go to (all about an hour and 15 minutes away) and I definitely have a preference so that might be the way to go. But we will see how the day goes Hugs all....Kit __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |

Hugs, Kit. It seems like a good idea that you'll be prepared for whatever happens. I hope you're feeling better today and that your GP appointment goes well. |

Can I ask the couch a question? Do any of you feel like a child inside and feel like you're behind emotionally? Do you hate that you've grown up and have an adult body, so everyone assumes you can handle adult issues? Is this normal/a human thing? Or is this part of my dysfunction? Like part of the BPD?

I do not feel like that. I like being an adult. I like that when I don't know something - I can find it out. Seriously that makes me very happy. Granted I never feel like I am in my 60s and I can be reduced to acting like silly goof from time to time-but it is fun

I generally feel like an adult, but I definitely have times when the child part comes out. Like I was recently describing to Dr. T how when he goes out of town or even has to switch to virtual, it's like I'm a little kid clinging onto his pants leg at daycare dropoff, begging him not to go. (And he said he got that feeling from me, too.) The adult part of me can rationally think, "He needs and deserves a vacation, so that he can be a better therapist." But another part of me is like "Don't leave me!" And has trouble believing he'll come back. The same as if I were a little kid. I know you might be talking about how someone is in general, rather than at times. But just sharing how it can come out sometimes for me. I've heard before that in cases of childhood trauma, sometimes emotional development can sort of get stuck at the age that it was happening (or first happened). So it could be something like that, too. |

Today is my parents' wedding anniversary. I hope that somehow, somewhere they are celebrating together for the first time in decades.
