I thought other people had multiples of things. But i have only ever had 2 of each thing for every person in the house. One for in use and one in the wash. It wasnt until my ex mil looked in my linen cupboard and asked where everything was. This was how i was brought up, in a very minimalist house not because we wrre particularly poor but my mother didnt believe in making excess work for yourself, though she did iron handkerchiefs and sheets.

I'm ashamed to say that I am more wasteful than y'all. I can't stand having to re-use bath towels. I can't really pinpoint why, it's just a thing with me. H uses his twice. I would have to do laundry less often if I'd make myself use them more than once but I can't seem to do it. I have like 8 towels, and I also tend to keep them until they are completely threadbare before I'll replace them. H has 6 giant bath sheets that he likes to use but I don't like the giant ones so those are all his.

The reason I can't bring myself to reuse my bath towel is purely mental block because even though I know I just washed everywhere, I always dry my face first and I don't want to do that when I know the previous time I also thoroughly dried my nether regions with that same towel. Everything was just cleaned, but still. It's just a weird mental hangup for me.

Just spent a little time pulling weeds in my side yard. Man they grow fast. Trying to keep ahead of the HOA nastygrams but now my legs feel like jello.
H has 2 liver dr appointments today, he's going to be participating in a research study his dr is helping run, for an NAFLD medication. I'm going with him, of course, so I can hear everything too. Oh, and I did a henna treatment on my hair last night. It is now a pretty reddish color. Henna is my compromise for H - he doesn't like seeing my grays because it makes him realize we're getting old and I don't like to use the stinky, headache-inducing chemical coloring - so I found this natural henna that I'm okay with using occasionally when he brings it up. It doesn't match my very dark eyebrows, but then again, my original natural blond before it started going gray never matched them either! My eyebrow color never made sense to me! |

Plus after using for a while, you can get a reaction to the chemical hair dyes. I did. I get all red and poofy.

Hey friends,
My T hasn't texted with any times to set up an appointment this week since she canceled our session on Tuesday. I don't feel like being a pain and a bother by asking her when is the next time we are going to talk but not having a day or time is kind of wearing on me. Making me a bit anxious. So I sit in uncomfortable unknowingness. __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |

Kit - You can text her. You won't be bothering her. If she feels bothered that's on her. It's her job to hold her own boundaries, not yours.

I ended up texting my T about the appointment. We'll see what she says.

Thanks, Kit.
It is sad, and yet not surprising that it's taken something like this for people to start speaking up in favour of change. Because of the pantomime going on in UK politics, the Online Harms Bill got sidelined, and one of the key players resigned...I'm hoping that something will be done now. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

Since she cancelled on me, one would think that she would be proactive about rescheduling me? Or maybe that is just my flawed thinking. I'm trying hard to "not go there" into those thoughts that mean that this slip of the mind does not mean that she does not care about me. I know that she does. I just need to be patient and not take things personally. __________________ Dum Spiro Spero IC XC NIKA |

Hugs, Kit. I think it's fine you texted her. Dr. T doesn't really count scheduling texts/emails as outside communication, so I doubt she'd be bothered by it. It's completely reasonable to want to find out when you can schedule a session. Some T's just aren't that organized in terms of scheduling--I get the sense yours may be like that just in general, that it has nothing to do with you. But I understand why you worry about it, as I would, too! Once, ex-MC took forever to reschedule with us, and I ended up having ex-T leave him a note I wrote. He did get back to us after that. |

So Dr. T and I just resumed handshakes at the end two weeks ago. Today, I nearly forgot to shake his hand, like we were saying goodbye, I turned to walk out the door, then I was like, "Oh, right!" And turned back to him and held out my hand. He just sort of shook his head (and then shook my hand). I mean, we'd gone 2.5 years without doing that, including maybe 5 months back in the office. So makes sense I'd have gotten out of the habit. It's just funny that I was the one who forgot.
