Just wondering if I'm so lame and have so many problems that I actually have a Psychiatrist, Psychologist and therapist. They all call me nearly everyday or email me. I just finished a maintenance dose of ECT yesterday and am going back home tomorrow. Does everybody get all of those when they get therapy?

No you aren' t lame sweetie. It sounds like you're gettng just what you need: great care from a team who care about you! I think that's wonderful.
Not everyone has a psychiatrist. I used to but now I don't take meds so I don't have a psychiatrist. Yes I"ve seen people post here who have 2 therapists where one specializes in a partidular diagnosis. I hope you're feeling better and your ECT went well! |

No, you are not lame. For a while I had a pdoc a therapist and a specialist. The important thing is to get the help you need with the best support there is. It sounds like you have a good team working with you.

Not lame, especially when doing stuff in the hospital. Glad you're getting such good care.

No, it's not lame at all. You are getting the help you need. I hope the ECT is helpful. Do both your therapist and psychologist do talk therapy with you? It sounds very supportive that all 3 contact you each day.

I had to see a Psychiatrist because my regular doctor is not real hip on anti-depressants and wouldnt prescribe me a anti-anxiety pill
(Klonopin)... The Psychiatrist is really cool and comes from completely different angle than my therapist..... |

It doesn't sound "lame" to me at all. It sounds like you have a great team working together with you during a difficult time. I had ECT several years ago and while I had a good pdoc, I could have used the daily support and the input from other caring sources.
There is only ONE thing that matters and that is you getting well and feeling good. There is no magic number of people allowed in your life to help with this. Good luck tulips __________________ |
