L sent this to me awhile back. I was recently cleaning up my inbox and found it again. I thought I'd post it because I know a lot of us aren't comfortable with anger feelings. It's a different perspective, and hopefully one that helps.

Thank you so much, Scarlet.
That's the main element of my struggle at the moment. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

This is great and reminds me so much of "parts" work. Embracing the anger and understanding why it's there has been much more useful for me than the approach that anger is always a secondary emotion that's covering something else.

Thank you for this, Scarlet. L and I were just talking about anger yesterday so this is very timely for me! Right before I saw your post, I had just finished writing a poem about taking my anger for a walk.

Thank you Scarlet. I hope one day my reaction to fear will be an amount of anger I can accept.

I used to carry immense anger and resentment with in me.But then felt guilty about that.I understand my anger is justified and the right feeling to feel towards my abusers. Now it has subsided considerably. Now a days if I feel angry and the burst of energy it brings, I own it,feel it and know that's ok.I go find something to do in order to spend that extra energy. Anger is my friend now.
