Does anyone else worry that if they post about their therapy progress they’ll jinx it ?
I’ve been trying for a week to update you all on how things worked out after that situation I was in with my T. I keep not posting it though incase acknowledging it has the power to mess with it!

Writing this seems safer!
Thank you everyone as you were all so kind when I posted about the situation a few weeks ago. Sorry that I can’t post an update 🤣🙈🙈🤦*♀️

I don't know about the jinxing thing but it seems understandable. Wish I knew how to help.

I worry about this, too! Do you by any chance have OCD? This can be part of "magical thinking" with OCD. One aspect can be the fear that if you think something positive, like, "this is going well" (or "I'm happy"), then you're jinxing it, and it will cause things to fall apart.

It's a difficult way to live, and I wish I could stop it.

Ooh interesting! My T has mentioned OCD to me before but it just didn’t resonate with me at all when I researched it. I just feel so different from everyone else, even on here 🙈🙈
Are there other symptoms that are similar to this one ?

I do something similar - I have a fear that if I don't incessantly worry about everything, I will cause disaster to befall those I love.
