thank you. this whole thing has been such a wake-up call in so many ways, one of which is to Listen To My Body.... my first instinct of course was to rush back to work immediately but I checked in with my body instead and it wants me to rest and heal. I am using this week to rest and build my eating back up to normal; gradually transitioning from the soft gi diet to a regular, higher-fiber diet. I can call in sick if I need to of course, but since I work at home, that means i can nap for an hour on my lunch break every day if i need to. I think I'll be okay though, I feel better/stronger every day.

Is it normal to feel absolutely poleaxed after a high anxiety day?
I feel like I've got a hangover, but I don't drink alcohol.

Yes. They are extremely draining. Going through opposite extremes is so hard.

What did you decide about the training invite ?

I don't drink either.

When you're better I think Yoga would be really good for you to learn how to connect back to yourself.

Thanks, Cake.

I finally decided not to put myself through it.
I asked my grief group, and somebody said it might be OK.

I also asked my SL support group and the force of their collective 'NO!' surprised me.

Somebody said there's a chapter on such things in the handbook, so it would definitely touch on issues surrounding my loss, and would therefore be 'unhealthily triggering'.

Not heard from R yet, but hoping that she will be in touch soon, because we're going to need to talk about it anyway.

The thing is you don't know how you're going to feel until you're in that moment. It might be okay, but I would trust your gut feeling. Well done for saying "no".

Where is @@ + SD ?

I hope they are well.

I miss reading all the "I worry about you" posts.

I always wanted to try PB when I was younger because of all the American movies I had watched. Not a huge fan except in snicker bars.

How are you also recovering from your eye surgery Una O?

Hi lemon, thanks for asking! The gas bubble finally disappeared, at like exactly 8 weeks. Dr said it would be 6 mos for my eyesight to return to normal. I do notice that it is a little cloudy and blurry, but field of vision is 100 pct. So absolutely no complaints. What a miracle.

honestly, so do I; especially for egg salad sandwiches, and cold turkey sandwiches! I could have only white bread while on the soft gi diet i'm now transitioning off of, so I'm not going to throw away the loaf I bought I'll finish it before going back to whole grain!

I continue to feel better every day, and to feel so greatly blessed to be alive. I'm trying to figure out what to do for my sister as a thank you for dropping her life and coming to me when I most needed her (without even being asked); as if something like that can even be adequately thanked... but my thought is to make her one of those mandala afghans that uses a different stitch for every round...

I once read an interview with Lillian Gish in which she credited her long life (99!) to not eating white bread.

And also never getting married.

Go with your gut Art. That sounds cute. You could also go out for dinner?

I'm glad to hear Una O.

Sending you love. Time to lock up your sons and daughters in 6 months time.
