we do. i haven't yet had the courage to try selling in person - H is always saying I should; he's way more entrepreneurial than I am. I really should go to the local swap meet one of these weekends and just see what's there and if my stuff would even fit in or not.

I'm also sorry, Lemon. But like Artie said, he may not have wanted to seem like he was chasing you. He may have been waiting for you to ask. So if you do want one, I'd ask for it.

We have a little over a week left of the writing your way home course. it has gone by so fast. I have shared a lot with the group and gotten some helpful feedback. I've written a mix of essay-type stuff and poetry for this course.

I just signed up for a poetry workshop that starts in June, this is a 4-week one. I am very much looking forward to that one, too! Because in April, I re-dedicated myself to improving my work. Besides, writing/reading/sharing poetry brings my soul joy so I am doing more of this.

I found a book on Amazon called "tarot for writers" and am probably going to order it; I have a couple of tarot decks so it would be interesting putting them to a different use.

Tomorrow morning I go back to the dentist for my permanent crown; this evening I am crocheting to keep my mind off of that, still working on the very bright/colorful afghan for my sis in law. It looks like I'm going to get it finished before I go visit my sister and her later this month, yay!

Got up early this morning and finished the afghan for sis-in-law, well I still have to weave in the ends but the crocheting part is done. I'm pretty happy with it.
Off to the dentist now... hugs and head nods all around as wanted/needed/appropriate.

Possible trigger:

back from the dentist, getting my permanent crown. it did not go well at first - it didn't hurt too much when they pulled off the temp crown, but as soon as he started scraping off the temp bonding stuff, I stopped him cuz it hurt so much. He put some numbing gel on a swab and touched the nub of tooth with that and I almost cried it hurt so much. So he went and got the dr and he came in and tried the numbing gel again and I said NO!!! So he gave me novocaine and the rest was smooth sailing. I seriously don't mind the novocaine shot - that's a known pain and I can deal with it but that other stuff - no. He said it was likely highly sensitive in there because there had been decay under the gumline he'd had to get out. Anyway now it's all done and I have my new crown.

Artie - sorry to hear that. Kinda surprised they didnt do a root canal. Hope the crown calms the tooth down. If it didnt hurt with the temp crown on, hopefully it will be okay.

If you see pigs flying, it's because Dr. T seems to finally understand transference, particularly paternal/maternal. I may write more about the session later. But just saying for now that I'm pleasantly surprised about how our discussion went today, though maybe I should have expected that after his email response yesterday where he said "We'll be uncomfortable together."

Well I learned today how to make sessions feel longer. ha. (y'all know I'm always saying how they go by too fast.) At one point when we were talking I found myself in a rare moment of self-compassion and she said "sit with that for 30 seconds, I'll tell you when times up" so I closed my eyes and stayed in it and didn't immediately escape back up into my head with humor like i usually do and I'll tell you, that 30 seconds felt like a freaking eternity! Good stuff today. Although much of it was also pretty uncomfortable.

I'm glad to hear that he seems to be understanding transference now and I hope that his level of understanding is helpful for you in dealing with it!
